A Group of Saints Meeting Together in South Shore, KY
As of right now a group of four saints are meeting sporadically during the week for fellowship and fun. We are located in South Shore, KY which is just minutes south east of Portsmouth, Ohio (across the Ohio river) and about an hour or so west of Huntington, WV (see the map link for exact location). We are an informal, non-religious, loved-by-Jesus, and Jesus-loving group of believers. We are seeking simply to be what we are: the Church of Jesus Christ. We desire to be a local expression of that beautiful bride that has won the heart of the most beautiful being in the universe (that would be Jesus, of course).
In our get-togethers we eat food, talk, and share our Lord together. We believe in the direct headship of Jesus Christ. He is our lover and He is a fantastic leader. Furthermore, we believe in, and encourage, the participation of all of God's people in sharing during our gatherings. In fact, a get-together is probably a better word to describe our gatherings than meetings. With all the eating and the sharing you might not even know you are in a meeting :).
So far we've had a few friends come and visit from different places and we have truly enjoyed the fellowship. We are looking forward to meeting and growing with other saints who are on this journey of knowing and falling in love with our Mighty Aslan- the Lord Jesus Christ.
